**** SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) This is a petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to respondent No.2 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondent No.3 and with a further direction to respondent No.2 i.e. the Commisioner of Police, Jalandhar to decide (Annexure P-2).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied in case a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 31.05.2024 (Annexure P-2), within a time bound manner.

Without adverting to the merits of the case and in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 (Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar) to look into the representation dated 31.05.2024 (Annexure P-2) after hearing the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.

In this regard, learned State counsel is directed to ensure that copy of this order shall be furnished by today itself via e-mail to Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.
