Through this writ petition, the petitioners pray for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari to quash the orders dated 27.04.2021 and 21.05.2021.

In essence, the petitioners assail the correctness of the orders appointing the Administrator to perform the functions of the elected body of the representatives.

Ms. Kanica Sachdeva, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, enters appearance pursuant to the supply of an advance copy of the writ petition and submits that as per the communication dated 05.10.2021 received from the respondent No.4-Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Kapurthala, the term of the Administrator has not been extended.
