HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.102 dated 16.06.2020 under Sections 364,367,323,341,506,148,149 IPC registered at Police Station Nurpur Bedi, District Rupnagar. FIR was registered on the complaint of one Sukhpal Singh, who stated that on 12.06.2020, he along with one Polay was going on the motorcycle for purchasing spare parts of the tractor from the market. At about 3.00 p.m, when they reached near Bassi Petrol Pump, they were stopped by the petitioner, Jaskaran, Jatinder, Arman, Baljit Bhatti, Ajay, Khan and 3-4 other unidentified persons, who were on their motorcycles. The petitioner is alleged to have caught the complainant and put him down from the motorcycle.

The petitioner sent his friend Polay along with complainant's motorcycle while the complainant was forcibly made to sit on the motorcycle of the petitioner. Co-accused Jaskaran Singh was driving the motorcycle. The petitioner repeatedly beat the complainant. He also inflicted daat blow on the head of the complainant. Jaskaran Singh gave iron rod blow on the back of the complainant. Dhole and Ajay caused iron rod blow on right arm of the complainant with other co-accused having MANOJ KUMAR 2021.10.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all the injuries are simple in nature. No case of abduction is made out as the complainant who was taken away in broad day light, did not raise any alarm. It is the case of the prosecution that during the course of investigation, a video clip of the incident has been recovered, which shows that the complainant was stipped naked and beaten up by the accused including the petitioner.

Keeping in view the allegations leveled against the petitioner, and considering the gravity of offence, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Dismissed.
