(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 3, 12(5) & (11) of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 2022 for issuance of direction to the respondents to grant parole to the petitioner to enable him to perform the necessary tasks as required and to enable him to meet his family members as well as restore social ties and by considering reminder letter dated 17.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) and the application vide which parole case of the petitioner was initiated.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for the redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has already filed an application dated 17.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) before respondent No.4, however, no action has been taken thereon till date.

Mr. Sumit Jain, Addl. AG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 i.e. Superintendent of Jail, District Jail, Karnal to decide the representation/application (Annexure P-1) filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with law.
