***** HARSH BUNGER J. (ORAL) Petitioner (Mahant Prabhjot Singh) has filed the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ, order or direction for directing respondents No. 2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and to take appropriate action against respondents No.5 to 12, who have trespassed the property of the petitioner and vandalized the same and now are giving threats to life, liberty and property of the petitioner.

In the context of threat perception, the petitioner has moved representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.3 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala), wherein, the apprehension to his life and liberty has been expressed; however, it is stated that no action has been taken.

CRWP-6126-2025 (O&M) -2would be satisfied at this stage, if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala) to consider/decide his representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-5). 4.

At this stage, Mr. Nirmaljit Singh Diwana, Sr. DAG, Punjab has appeared on behalf of the respondent(s)-State of Punjab pursuant to the advance copy of the petition having been sent to the State of Punjab and submits that he has no objection to the said course of action and states that the claim/grievance of the petitioner as stated in representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) shall be looked into by the respondent authorities.

In view of above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner in the representation, respondent No.3 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala); is directed to look into the representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) qua threat perception, if any, and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law.

However, this order shall also not be taken to protect the petitioner from legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by them. 7.

The present petition stands disposed of accordingly. 8.
