(ORAL): The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the impugned order/letter dated 9.10.2017, Annexure P-8, whereby the petitioner was denied senior scale of pay on completion of five years as Assistant Professor; and a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the same with effect from 2.7.2013, as also the benefit of counting past service for promotion under Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) in view of letter dated 21.7.2011, Annexure P-5. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has already been granted senior scale during pendency of the petition vide office order dated 21.4.2022, Annexure P-19. Further, the College Principal has recommended her case for grant of selection grade vide memo dated 17.7.2023, Annexure P-20, and promotion as Associate Professor under CAS at Academic Level-13A vide memo dated 17.7.2023, Annexure P-21, to the second respondent. At this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case the petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to take a decision for giving her selection grade and promotion as Associate Professor under CAS.

Learned State counsel contends that appropriate decision to consider the petitioner for both the aforementioned benefits, shall be taken by the second respondent within a period of two months. 4.
In view of the statement of learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof.
