The challenge in the present petition is to the notifications issued under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 on 19.12.1973 (Annexure P-3) and 27.02.1976 (Annexure P-4), respectively. The writ petition has been filed more than four decades after the issuance of aforesaid notifications, referring to judgment of this Court dealing with same acquisition whereby writ petitions were filed in the year 1987.

Keeping in view the aforesaid fact where the present petition has been filed more than four decades after the acquisition was carried out, the same deserves to be dismissed on account of delay and latches only.

Ordered accordingly.
