By way of the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner seeks, inter alia, a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners by providing adequate security/police protection to the petitioner and his friend - Monika and also directions to respondents No.4 to 10 not to interfere in the personal lives and liberty of the petitioner and his friend or to harass them in any manner.

On the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition, with liberty to file a fresh comprehensive petition with all the details.
