(Oral) The petitioner alleges that the Sarpanch and other Members of the Gram Panchayat, in total high-handiness manner, have demolished the structure raised by his family as is depicted in the photograph (P-1), without following the due procedure of law. It is claimed that the said site has now been converted into the pond, namely, it has been restored to the common purposes of the village. The petitioner though does not claim ownership qua the land in dispute but asserts his entitlement for damages due to the alleged illegal demolition of the structure.
