(Oral) In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to renew the Arms License No.LN28551B7A7C420/CP/JAL/ ARM/D3/0920/006 (Annexure P-1) with addition of weapon as well as extension of area validity as requested by the petitioner vide application No.664/RAL dated 16.09.2025, application No.115/C.P dated 11.03.2025 and application No.437/CP dated 21.11.2022. 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that no decision has been taken on the abovesaid applications by the respondents till date.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that petitioner will be satisfied if, at this stage, a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 06.05.2026 (Annexure P-5) served by the petitioner in a time-bound manner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 06.05.2026 (Annexure P-5), served by the petitioner, in accordance with law/rule, within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
