Petitioner, a Junior Assistant working in the Health and Family Welfare Department,Punjab has filed the instant petition seeking quashing of transfer order dated 29.8.2018 whereby he has been transferred from the office of Civil Surgeon,Tarn Taran to Civil Hospital,Batala,District Gurdaspur.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the transfer order is punitive in nature as the petitioner has filed an appeal before the Punjab State Information Commission,Chandigarh against nonsupply of information sought by him under the RTI Act from respondent no.3-Dr.Shamsher Singh,Civil Surgeon,Civil Hospital,Taran Taran. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, I do not find any ground to interfere in the instant petition. In the impugned order, it is stated that transfer of petitioner is made against a vacant post due to administrative reasons. The petitioner may have a grouse against respondent no.3, but his transfer order has been passed by none else than RAJINDER PARSHAD JOSHI 2018.09.07 11:09 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
