Present writ petition is for setting aside the departmental proceedings and subsequent order passed on the basis of charge sheet dated 25.05.2015 (Annexure P7) including the order of dismissal dated 22.08.2017 (Annexure P13) passed against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contended that appeal is pending with the Appellate Authority i.e. respondent No.1 since 02.01.2018 and the same is not being decided so far. In view of above, present writ petition stands disposed of, at this stage, with the direction to respondent No.1 to look into and decide the appeal, filed by the petitioner, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
