This case has been taken up through video conferencing in the National Lok Adalat in the light of Covid-19 pandemic. The matter has been amicably settled between the parties. The insurance company has offered to pay Rs.5.80 lakhs over and above the amount awarded by learned Tribunal in full and final settlement of claim in this appeal. This offer is acceptable to the appellants.

In view of this amicable settlement, the Insurance Company is directed to deposit Rs.5.80 lakhs, over and above the amount, so awarded by the Tribunal, before the Lok Adalat Branch of the High Court, within a period of four weeks, which shall be payable to the appellants. In the eventuality of Insurance Company not depositing the payment, in the given period, then Insurance Company shall be liable to pay penal interest @ 9% per annum from today onwards, on the above stated amount. The enhanced amount shall be payable to the appellants proportionately, as ordered in the Award. Accordingly, the case stands disposed of.
