By way of present civil writ petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of selection and appointment of respondent Nos. 5 & 6 as Vocational Master (Electronics). The petitioner prays to be appointed against one unfilled post of Vocational Master (Electronics). At the outset, it is submitted by the learned State counsel that though, the merit of the petitioner was 53.4957 and higher as compared to respondent Nos. 5 and 6 whose merit was 49.6182 and 47 respectively but the petitioner did not attend the counselling held on 10.07.2011, the publication of which was effected in the leading newspapers vide advertisement dated 28.06.2011 (Annexure R-1/1). As against the submission of learned State counsel, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that the notice for counselling was published only in Punjabi Daily and not in English newspaper. Heard.

CWP No.5350 of 2014 English alone and from advertisement dated 28.06.2011 (Annexure R1/1), it is manifestly clear that due publication was given to the notice calling candidates for the counselling. Many persons juniors to the petitioner had appeared in pursuance to the publication for the counselling, therefore, the petitioner at this stage cannot be granted any benefit for his lapse.
Dismissed.
