Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the official respondents to decide the legal notice dated 09.07.2018 (Annexure P12), which was got issued by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that there were serious allegations of misconduct against respondent No.6-Smt.Charanjit Kaur, who is Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Village Gigi Majra, Block Kharar, District S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali. Learned counsel further conducted that enquiry was conducted into the allegations and detailed enquiry report (Annexure P10) was submitted by respondent No.5-District Development & Panchayat Officer, S.A.S. Nagar on 03.05.2018, wherein all the allegations at serial Nos. 1 to 6 were said to have been proved against respondent No.6 and on the basis of that, no action is being taken intentionally by the official respondents. Learned counsel also contended that as per Sections 20 & 216 DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2018.09.07 15:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Civil Writ Petition No. 22760 of 2018 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, respondent No.6 shall be barred from holding office; contesting the next election even and to return the money as well. For this purpose, petitioner has got issued legal notice dated 09.07.2018 (Annexure P12), but no action is being taken thereon intentionally.

In view of above, present writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to respondent No. 2 to look into the legal notice dated 09.07.2018 (Annexure P12) and take required action thereon, if any, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
