-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.329 dated 30.08.2020 under Sections 420, 388, 406 and 120B IPC registered at Police Station Central, Faridabad, who is in custody since 30.08.2020 in the aforesaid FIR.

Counsel for the petitioner herein would inter alia contend that the the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the said FIR. There are material contradictions in the version put forth in the FIR and the statements recorded by the investigating agency during the course of investigation. The matter has already been investigated and challan presented, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner would no longer be required. The trial is likely to take some time to conclude and therefore, prays for concession of bail to the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State opposes the bail application by contending that the allegations levelled in the FIR are PANKAJ KUMAR 2021.01.08 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. Keeping in view the fact that the investigation is complete and challan has been presented and the trial is likely to take some time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the petitioner behind bars. The instant petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail on execution of adequate personal/surety bond to the satisfaction of concerned trial Court/Duty Magistrate. However, any observation made herein shall not be construed to be an expression on merits of the case.
