This is a petition seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the notification dated 25.02.2015 (Annexure P-7), whereby, no seats have been reserved for the candidates of Ex-servicemen category seeking admission in the Post Graduate Degree Courses in the Health Sciences Educational Institutions (Medical/Dental) and six months training in Ultrasonography in the State of Punjab. Notice of motion was issued to the respondents. Today, on instructions from Dr.Jasbir Singh, Learned counsel for the respondent - State of Punjab states that due to some inadvertent mistake, the complete rules/regulations with regard to the



  ) * seats reserved for defence personnel could not be mentioned in the notification. He further states that the needful will be done within two days and, thereafter, the candidates in the said category will be permitted to participate in the counselling for the posts reserved for defence personnel, after issuing corrigendum. Learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection if the writ petition is disposed of in view of the above statement. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner shall have the liberty to revive the same, if any cause of action still survives.
