Rupinder Singh v. Punjab Pollution Board And ANR
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CWP No. 3375 of 2016 Date of decision: 19.02.2016 Rupinder Singh ....Petitioner(s)
Versus
Punjab Pollution Board and another
...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Ms. Anita Sharma, Advocate, for the petitioner.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the arrears of pay for a period of 1 year and 7 months on the basis of the mention in the advertisement for the Clerkcum-Data Entry Operator (Annexure P-1). However, it is not disputed that the petitioner had accepted the said post on a consolidated salary of `6,500/- per month on 08.11.2011 (Annexure P-3) and worked on it as such. Therefore, the contention that the petitioner is entitled for payment as per the scale mentioned is without any basis. The petitioner being well aware that he had been appointed on a contract basis cannot now raise such a claim on the basis of an advertisement and the same is totally unfounded. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed. 19.02.2016 (G.S. SANDHAWALIA) shivani JUDGE SHIVANI GUPTA 2016.02.19 17:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
