In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Civil Writ Petition No. 422 of 2015 Date of Decision: 23.09.2015 Mukesh Kumar and Others ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and Others ... Respondent(s)

CORAM:

Hon'ble Mr. Justice G.S.Sandhawalia.

Present:

Mr. Manoj Bajaj, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Mr. Amit Rao, Advocate for the respondents.

G.S.Sandhawalia, J.

The challenge in the present petition is to the action of the respondents in holding the entrance test again on 13.01.2015 for admission to Ph.D. course in Law.

The ground of the petitioners was that they were admitted in pursuance of the entrance test dated 9.12.2014/15.12.2014 and, therefore, on account of the alleged enquiry, their admission could not be set aside and they were not required to go through the grind of the second entrance test again.

Admittedly, no interim order was passed by this Court. The University, on its own, permitted the petitioners to attend the classes and now the examinations are going on for the first semester. The DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2015.09.24 10:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Civil Writ Petition No. 422 of 2015 petitioners were admitted on the strength of the first entrance test. In such circumstances, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous since the petitioners were allowed to attend the classes and the same is dismissed as such.
