G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The present order shall dispose of two civil writ petitions i.e. CWP Nos. 3385 and 3384 of 2016.

The petitioners in both the cases seek the release of dearness allowance which was to be deposited in the GPF by respondent no. 3 alongwith interest. It is the case of the petitioner in CWP No. 3385 of 2016 that he retired as a clerk on 31.08.2010 after serving from 18.08.1977. Certain installments of D.A. have not been deposited and for the said claim representation dated 24.09.2015 (Annexure P-1) has been made whereas in CWP No. 3384 of 2016, the petitioner had retired on 30.04.2004 and representation was made on 03.02.2016.

-2representations dated 24.09.2015 and 03.02.2016 are decided within a time bound frame.

Keeping in view the limited relief sought, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need to call for the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 3 to take a decision on the representations dated 24.09.2015 and 03.02.2016 within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say if the relief is to be denied, a reasoned order be passed and conveyed to the petitioners.
