(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 to 17 and further not to interfere in their personal lives. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner No.1 was being constantly subjected to cruelty and harassment by the private respondents herein, who also allegedly threatened to evict her and her minor daughter from the house, constraining petitioner No.1 to file civil suit No. CS/1563/2025, wherein a stay order was granted by the Court restraining respondents No.4 to 6 from dispossessing her from the suit property. Despite the same the respondents trespassed into the petitioners portion of the property and threatened and insulted her. A formal complaint in the form of a representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-10) has been moved, and learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to KAVITA NAIN 2025.06.13 13:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document order/judgment

CRWP-6336-2025(O&M) 2 respondent No.2, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioners in a time bound manner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Luvinder Sofat, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent(s)-State and submits that he has no objection in case the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners at this stage is allowed. Let a complete set of the paper-book be supplied to him during the course of the day. 5.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioners and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 31.05.2025 (Annexure P-10) of the petitioners expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.

Needless to say, if any threat perception is found to the petitioner(s), the official respondents would provide them adequate security in order to protect their life and liberty.
