***** SANJIV BERRY. J. (Oral) The present petition has been preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of habeas corpus for releasing the alleged detenue from the illegal custody of respondent No.3. 2.

Report submitted by the Warrant Officer in a sealed cover has been opened in the Court. Same is perused. A perusal of the report submitted by the Warrant Officer dated 27.07.2024 would reveal that accompanied with the petitioner, the alleged detenue was searched in the premises of CIA-1, Sector 10 Ambala City but the detenue was not found. It is reported that in fact the detenue had been arrested in case FIR No.170 of 2021 (Annexure R-1) on 23.07.2023, which was recorded vide DDR No.11 dated 23.07.2023 (Annexure R-3) and after his production in Court he has been lodged in Central Jail, Ambala. The petitioner had made statement (Annexure R-5) in this regard. 3.

In view of the report submitted by the Warrant Officer, no further SANDAL SHARMA 2024.01.25 18:43 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
