This is a civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the retiral benefits of the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has retired on 30.09.2020 and he has not been paid his retiral benefits solely on the ground that a show-cause-notice was issued to him on 04.02.2020, 06.03.2020, 11.03.2020, 28.04.2020 and 02.07.2020 with respect to claims raised by the respondents, as against the petitioner. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has already submitted his detailed reply and points out that no recovery is required to be effected from the petitioner. However, no decision has been taken and the respondents are sitting over the matter. 4.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length and have considered the submissions.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has already attained the superannuation, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to take a decision on their show-cause-notice issued to the petitioner, within a stipulated period of one month from today.
