The instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent authorities to conduct a time bound independent enquiry into the large scale irregularities and alleged fraudulent registrations/claims under Ayushman Bharat/Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPMJAY).

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, submits that for redressal of their grievance, the petitioner has already moved representation dated 24.12.2025 (Annexure P-3) before the Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, but till date no action thereon has been taken. He further submits that at this stage, for the purpose of the instant petition, the petitioner would be KANIKA 2026.05.30 18:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-PIL-149-2026 2 satisfied if appropriate directions are given to the competent authority to consider and pass an appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.12.2025 (Annexure P-3) in a time bound manner. 3.
Learned counsel for Union of India submits that the aforesaid representation will be considered in accordance with law. 4.
In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case and considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to decide the representation, dated 24.12.2025 (Annexure P-3) moved by the petitioner, if not already decided, in accordance with law by passing an appropriate order, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.
Copy of the order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner as well.
