MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 04 dated 11.01.2019 under Sections 307, 332 353, 186, 323, 224, 148, 149 IPC registered at Police Station Kot Ise Khan Distt. Moga.

Learned counsel contends that similarly situated co-accused have since been extended the concession of regular bail. Thus, it has been prayed that the petitioner be also granted the concession of regular bail as he is behind bars since 18.07.2020.

The learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Paramdeep Singh, has conceded that the petitioner is similarly situated as the coaccused who have since been granted the concession of regular bail. Heard.

CRM-M-37947-2020 [ 2 ] keeping in view that the petitioner has been in custody since 18.07.2020 and no useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind bars as the trial is unlikely to conclude in the near future, I deem it a fit case to grant the concession of regular bail. The petition is allowed and the petitioner is admitted to bail to the satisfaction of trial Court/Duty Magistrate. However, it is made clear that any observation made herein shall not be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case.
