(ORAL) Prayer in this Criminal Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of direction or order in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent No. 2-Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and her family members, at the hands of respondent No. 5 and also to decide representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-6). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No. 2Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, to consider and take a final decision on the representation dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-6) moved by the petitioner, in a time bound manner.
