Prayer in this petition is for directing the respondents to allow the petitioners to join on the post of Assistant Professor on which they were working on part time basis.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that at the time of filing of the present petition itself, services of the petitioners stood discharged and thereafter no Assistant Professor in Punjabi has been appointed on part time or ad-hoc basis, though, there has been selection on regular basis. 3.

The operative part of order dated 13.07.2023 passed by this Court protects the petitioners, which reads thus:- "6. Taking into consideration the settled law that one set of contractual employees cannot be replaced by another set of contractual employees, it is directed that the respondents shall not replace another contractual employees with the petitioners under the advertisement dated 05.06.2023 and if they require services of Assistant Professors on the subject of Punjabi, the petitioners shall be offered the post."

Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioners prays that the present petition may be disposed as such.
