**** SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association has decided to abstain from work today i.e. 26.07.2024 on account of 'No Work Day' in view of the representation given by the District Bar Association Chandigarh, in which it was demanded by District Bar Association, Chandigarh to support the ongoing protest against Chandigarh Administration for sending the proposed draft of Chandigarh Union Territory Tenancy Act, 2019 to the Parliament Session for its notification.

This is a petition under Section 528 of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sahinta for issuance of direction to the official respondents to take action on the applications submitted by the petitioner against the private respondents and further direction be issued to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 01.07.2024 (Annexure P-4).

As per pleadings of the counsel for the petitioner he will be satisfied in case a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 01.07.2024 (Annexure P-4), within a time bound manner. Without adverting to the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur) to look into the representation dated 01.07.2024 (Annexure P-4) and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. The order so passed shall be communicated to learned counsel for the petitioner within one week thereafter.
