On 31.07.2023, following order was passed by this Court:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that correct date of birth of the petitioner is '05.05.1984' whereas in the passport it has been wrongly recorded as '05.04.1977'. The petitioner, at the time of issuance of passport, was minor, thus, case of the petitioner is covered by Office Memorandum dated 26.11.2015 (Annexure P/8).

Mr. Himanshu Malik, Advocate, who on advance notice is present in Court on behalf of the respondents, seeks time to get instructions.

Adjourned to 10.08.2023."

Mr. Himanshu Malik, Advocate for Union of India assures the Court that appropriate order considering office Memorandum dated 26.11.2015 (Annexure P-8) relating to change/correction of date of birth would be passed within four weeks from today.
