(Oral) This is the second petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for the grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.01 dated 01.01.2017 under Sections 399, 402 IPC and Section 21 of the NDPS Act and Section 25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Rawalpindi, District Kapurthala, Punjab.

The allegations against the petitioner are extremely serious. As many as 20 other FIRs are pending against him. However, since the petitioner is in custody since 01.01.2017, I deem it appropriate to direct the Trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of six months from the next date fixed before it.
