**** RITU BAHRI , J. (Oral) Petitioner is seeking direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Naib Tehsildar from the date juniors to the petitioner have been promoted and for granting all consequential benefits. The petitioner was appointed as Patwari on 02.04.1986 and he stood retired from service on 31.03.2017. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court that the result of departmental examination was not declared when the petitioner was in service and now juniors to the petitioner had been promoted. The petitioner had also cleared the departmental examination and thus, he may be promoted from the same date the juniors have been promoted as Naib Tehsildar.

The writ petition is dismissed as the petitioner stood retired on 31.03.2017 and now at this stage he cannot seek direction that since the result was declared late, therefore, he should be promoted from the date his junior has been promoted.
