(ORAL) Learned State counsel has submitted the status-report on behalf of the respondent-State, by way of the affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Tanda, District Hoshiarpur and he points out that as categorically mentioned in Para No.8 therein, the Challan has already been presented against accused Tinku Kumar in connection with the FIR in question and in Para No.6, it has been deposed that during the enquiry, accused Sharanjit Singh @ Gheesa and Arshjit Singh @ Rahul @ Padda have been found to be innocent in the present case and as further mentioned in Para No.9, the proceedings have already been initiated against accused Dhanjit Singh @ Dhana, Sanpreet Singh, Jaspal Singh @ Lovely @ Lal and Gurnam Singh @ Kala @ Romy for declaring them the proclaimed offenders and he contends that in view of the above-discussed SEEMA SHARMA 2022.02.23 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

circumstances, the present petition has become infructuous. Learned counsel for the petitioner also seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition while submitting that in view of the abovediscussed contents of the Status-report, it has become infructuous and the petitioner would be availing the alternative, efficacious and appropriate remedy, as may be permissible to him under law, to seek the redressal of his grievance as set-forth in this petition.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed as withdrawn for having been rendered infructuous.
