In compliance of the directions passed on the last date of hearing, the detenue, i.e. Muskan, was produced before this Court. 2.

The Court has interacted with the detenue and she has categorically stated that she is married with the petitioner and wants to reside with him. She has requested that adequate protection be provided to her and her husband, i.e. the petitioner, since her father, who is employed with the Punjab Police, as well as other family members are against her marriage on account of the difference in caste. She has further requested that her parents be directed to hand over her mobile phone and all educational documents, which are in their possession. 3.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.4 submits that the detenue has been living with her parents on her own accord, and it is for the first time in Court today that she has disclosed the factum of her marriage MOHIT GOYAL 2026.06.05 11:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

On specific instructions from respondent No.4 and other family members, who are present in the Court, an undertaking is given that no harm would be caused to the petitioner and the detenue. The mobile phone of the detenue has been handed over to her in the Court today. It is further undertaken that all educational certificates and necessary documents of the detenue would also be handed over to her.

In view thereof, respondents No.2 and 3 are directed to take necessary steps to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner and the detenue are protected, in accordance with law. It is further directed that respondent No.3 would ensure that all the educational certificates/documents of the detenue are handed over to her, within a period of three weeks from today. 5.

As a result thereof, the present petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
