HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.12 dated 17.03.2019 under Sections 379,427,148,149 IPC registered at P.S Verowal District Tarn Taran and all other consequential proceedings arising out of the said FIR, as the matter stands amicably settled in terms of compromise deed (P.2). Vide order dated 22.11.2021, the parties were directed to appear before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on 30.11.2021 for getting their statements recorded with regard to the compromise and the learned Magistrate was directed to send a report about the genuineness and veracity of the compromise.

A report dated 15.12.2021 of learned SDJM, Khadur Sahib has been received. As per the report, the parties had appeared before learned Magistrate and got recorded their statements regarding compromise. Learned Magistrate has stated that she is of the considered view that the compromise between the parties is valid, genuine, voluntary and without any coercion or undue influence.
