Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the matter, which was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court on 21.07.2025 under Special Mediation Drive - Mediation for the Nation, since stands settled between the parties. As per the settlement, the respondent No.3Insurance Company would pay an amount of ₹25,00,000 over and above the amount already awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Faridkot (hereinafter referred to as 'the Tribunal').

Learned counsel for respondent No.3-Insurance Company states that respondent No.3-Insurance Company has agreed to pay an amount of ₹25,00,000 over and above the amount of ₹1,53,550 already awarded by the Tribunal. Learned counsel further states that the aforesaid amount would be paid as full and final settlement of all the claims and that a cheque in the name AMAN JAIN 2025.11.11 09:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

FAO-4381-2022 (O&M) -2of the claimant-appellant would be handed over to the claimant-appellant within a period of six weeks from today.

Learned counsel for the claimant-appellant states that he has no objection and that the present appeal may be disposed off in terms of the settlement.

In view of the above, the present appeal is disposed off in terms of the settlement and with a direction to respondent No.3-Insurance Company to hand over the cheque in the name of the claimant-appellant for an amount of ₹25,00,000 over and above the amount already awarded by the Tribunal within a period of six weeks from today. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
