Vide order dated 08.07.2025 the present appeal was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Center of this Court under the 'Special Mediation Drive - Mediation for the Nation'. However, as per report of the Mediator, the mediation was a non-starter.

Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the present appeal may be disposed off by awarding an amount of ₹12,00,000/- over and above the amount awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Faridkot (hereinafter referred to as the 'Tribunal') vide award dated 27.05.2022. Learned counsel for the parties have further contended that out of total five cases, four cases have already been settled and hence the learned counsel for the parties have no objection if the present appeal is disposed off in terms of the agreed amount.

In view thereof, the present appeal is disposed off on the statement made by learned counsel for the parties that respondent No.3Insurance Company shall pay an amount of ₹12,00,000/- to the claimantappellants over and above the amount awarded by the Tribunal vide award dated 27.05.2022. Respondent No.3-Insurance Company would give cheques in the names of the claimant-appellants by apportioning the amount in the same manner as directed by the Tribunal. The cheques in the names of the claimant-appellants would be handed over to learned counsel for the appellants within a period of six weeks from today. 4.
Disposed off. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
