(Oral) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.33 dated 14.07.2019 under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 406/34 IPC (added later on) registered at Police Station Women Cell, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that pursuant to order dated 22.08.2019 of this Court, the parties have appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and the matter has been settled and now, the parties are staying together as husband and wife. Criminal Misc. No. M-33022 of 2019 -2As per the report dated 27.01.2020 of the mediator, the parties have settled their dispute by way of amicable settlement. The settlement/compromise deed dated 27.01.2020, which has been reduced into writing, is taken on record.

In view of the statement of counsel for the petitioner and the report of the mediator, the order dated 22.08.2019, whereby the arrest of the petitioner was stayed, is made absolute. The petitioner shall not be arrested in the case unless a clear 15 days notice is given to him. Disposed of.
