The petitioners, at this stage, merely seek an order directing respondent No.2-Director, Department of Local Self Government to take a decision on resolution No.115 passed by respondent No.3-Amritsar Improvement Trust dated 03.12.2013. The resolution, in so far as it is relevant, reads as under:- "Resolution No.115 There is no mention of area of the Plot to be allotted in lieu of acquired land in the Land Disposal Rules 1951 of the Trust under which the Scheme was framed. Therefore, Trust vide Resolution No.35 dated 15.04.2013, has fixed the area of the Plot to be allotted in lieu of acquired land. The same has been approved by the Government. As per aforesaid, it is approved to allot 400/500 square yards residential plot the applicant in lieu of land acquired of the applicant."

Respondent No.3 addressed a communication dated 03.07.2014 to respondent No.2 (Annexure P-5/T) stating that the necessary decision on the resolution is to be taken by the Government at its own level so that an order dated 19.11.2012 PARKASH CHAND 2016.02.26 12:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CWP-3842-2016 - 2 - passed by this Court is complied with. Thereafter, respondent No.2 held a meeting on 07.01.2015 at which the petitioners were also present. Unfortunately, no order has been passed by respondent No.2 to date i.e. for now almost 14 months.

The petition is, therefore, disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to do the needful by taking a decision in respect of the said resolution latest by 30.04.2016 subject to the petitioners forwarding a copy of the letter along with a copy of this petition to each of the respondents within one week from today.
In the event of respondent No.2 confirming the decision of respondent No.3 as per the said Resolution No.115, the authorities shall take all steps for the implementation thereof forthwith.
