By virtue of instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to count the service rendered in Sant Ashram Mahavidyalaya (high School), Pathankot from 01.08.1970 to 10.09.1976 against regular sanctioned aided post before joining as on the post of JBT Teacher in Government High School, Jaura Chhatran, District Gurdaspur as the qualifying service for the purpose of revised pension as per judgment of this Court in CWP No.14238 of 1991, "Sukhdev Singh v. State of Punjab and ors." (P-3) and to grant the revised pensionary benefits after counting the service rendered in the aforesaid aided schools. 2.

CWP No.23299 OF 2018 --2-- petitioner submits that though legal notice dated 10.04.2018 (P-5) was duly served upon the respondents but till date neither any reply to the said legal notice has been received nor any final order has been passed by the respondents. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide aforesaid legal notice, within a stipulated period. 3.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Director, Public Instructions (Secondary Education), Punjab, Punjab School Education Board Complex, Phase-VIII, Ajitgarh (SAS Nagar) to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in legal notice dated 10.04.2018 (P-5) and to take a conscious decision, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved by any of the orders passed by the aforesaid authority, she shall be at liberty to approach this Court or to have recourse to the other remedies available under law.
