The petitioners had been allotted plots admeasuring 200 square yards by the Jalandhar Improvement Trust on 13.02.2012. An agreement of sale was also executed within the stipulated period. The petitioners' grievance is that to date possession of the plots has not been handed over and that the plots have not even been demarcated. The petitioners, therefore, by their letter dated 20.11.2015 sought a refund of the amounts deposited by them together with interest thereon.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are not interested in going ahead with the purchase of the said plots and are, therefore, satisfied with the refund of the amounts deposited by them.

The respondents shall consider the petitioners' request contained in the letter dated 20.11.2015 (Annexure P/3) and take a decision thereon by 30.06.2016.
