On advance notice, Mr. Neeraj Madaan, Sr. DAG, Punjab, puts an appearance on behalf of the respondent/State, and on instructions from ASI Balwant Singh, submits that in fact, required statements of both the petitioners have already been recorded, and as per the said statements, as of now, there is no threat perception and petitioners do not require any protection.
