The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to provide certified copies of the documents.

As per pleadings, petitioner's great grandparents namely Ram Rakha Mal and Mela Devi are founders of Arya Vidya Sabha, Pathankot and its sister concerns namely RRMK Girls College, Arya Girls School, Arya Boys School, MDK Public School and Adarsh Bharti College, Pathankot. The petitioner approached respondents seeking certified copies of certain documents i.e. list of members and memorandum of Sabha but to no avail. He also filed RTI applications dated 03.08.2024 and 23.10.2025 seeking the above-mentioned documents and served legal notice dated 07.02.2026 but to no avail. Learned counsel for petitioner, on being point out that in case of non-supply of required information or rejection of application, the applicant has right to file appeal, submits that petitioner may be granted liberty to file appeal before appellate authority. 4.
