G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) C.M. No. 5926 of 2016 Application for placing on record birth certificate as Annexure P-10 is allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The same is taken on record.
CWP No. 4043 of 2016 The petitioner seeks a direction for appointment on appropriate post on compassionate grounds on account of death of his father Darshan Singh, who was working as a Watchman and died while in service on 03.08.2004.
It is his case that the petitioner's mother had moved an application on 02.09.2004. The petitioner being minor at that point of time, since he was born on 16.02.1993, was not eligible for appointment. On turning 18 years of age on 16.02.2011, he filed the application on 15.07.2011, which is pending consideration. CWP No. 4043 of 2016 would be clear from Annexure P-6, reply to the legal notice. Reference is further made to communication dated 03.09.2015 (Annexure P-8) addressed by respondent no. 3 to respondent no. 2 that the decision is to be taken by the said respondent.
Counsel for the petitioner submits that representation dated 15.07.2015 (Annexure P-7) has been filed but no action has been taken on the same. Counsel further submits that he would be satisfied if the same is decided within a time bound frame.

Mr. R.S. Sidhu, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Copy of the writ petition has been supplied to him in Court. Keeping in view the limited relief sought, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need for the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case or entitlement of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 15.07.2015 (Annexure P-7) within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
