Counsel for the petitioner limits his prayer that a direction be issued to the respondents to take a decision on his legal notice dated 23.10.2014 (Annexure P911) whereby the petitioner is claiming that he is entitled for promotion to the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) from the date his juniors were promoted with all consequential benefits. He further submits that vide order dated 13.05.2008 (Annexure P94) juniors to the petitioners were promoted. Ever since the petitioner has submitted repeated representations to the respondents to rectify this anomaly but no final decision has been taken so far though there has been considerable communication inter9se the respondents for grant of the benefit..
