Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they have married against the wishes of family members and relatives of petitioner No.1 and on account of this act on their part, they are under threat of being eliminated at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6. In view of the above, seeking protection, a representation dated 16.11.2020 (Annexure P-5) was made on behalf of the petitioners to the Commissioner of Police, Panchkula, but to no avail.

In the above circumstances, the petitioners have approached this Court through the present petition.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, particularly the validity of the alleged marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Panchkula (respondent No.2) to forthwith consider the aforesaid representation dated RAVINDER SINGH 2020.11.19 18:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
