The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari, for quashing the office notice dated 08.01.2026 (Annexure P4), whereby process of station allotment has been kept in abeyance till further orders without any reason. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to allow the petitioners to select their station as per their choice on getting promotion on different subjects in pursuance of promotion orders, after clearance of PSTET Examination, on vacant stations available as on today. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also submitted a representation dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-7) to the respondents which is still pending consideration. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondents to consider and decide the said representation, VINAY 2026.05.29 16:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

On receipt of advance copy, Mr. Siddharth Sandhu, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-7) submitted by the petitioners expeditiously, by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to them, preferably within a period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
