(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 1 to 5 to immediately conduct a free and fair auction of the animal fair for the year 2026-2027. Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that auction has been fixed for 17.06.2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioner very fairly submits that in view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition be disposed of as infructuous.
