***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Reply by way of affidavit on behalf of Ravinder Kumar Kaushik, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Roopnagar, has been filed in court today. Same is taken on record. Learned State counsel on instructions from Harpreet Singh, Senior Assistant, O/o Divisional Commissioner, Roopnagar, submits that the impugned order dated 25.05.2018, annexure P-11, wherein direction was issued to Divisional Commissioner-respondent No.4 to prepare a common seniority list of Kanungos of Districts Roopnagar, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Patiala, has since been withdrawn. Thus, the promotions, if any, would be made as per the individual seniority list of each division i.e. Roopnagar, SAS Nagar and Patiala.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, cause of action espoused in the present petition has been rendered infructuous. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be given liberty to file afresh in case any cause of action survives. In view of the above, present petition is hereby disposed of. Liberty granted.
