Mr. Chander Shekar Singhal, Advocate for the petitioner. *** G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks a direction for taking decision on his legal notice dated 12.1.2016 (Annexure P/4).
It is case of the petitioner that he is an applicant for filling up vacant Class-IV post in the respondent no.5-society. In pursuance of advertisement dated 14.6.2015, 17 persons had appeared and given their interview and merit list (Annexure P/1) was also prepared in which the petitioner figured at serial no.1. However, on account of coram not being complete and for various other reasons, the proceedings were not being finalised. In such circumstances, he seeks that the legal notice dated 12.1.2016 which was served upon respondent no.2 be decided within some fixed time frame.

Mr. R.S.Sidhu, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents no.1 to 4. Copies of the writ petition have been supplied to him.
Keeping in view the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that there is no requirement of calling for any reply on behalf of the State.

Civil Writ Petition No.4130 of 2016 -2and whether the petitioner or other applicants are entitled for appointment or whether they have any vested right, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to take into consideration the said legal notice dated 12.1.2016 (Annexure P/4) and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case any adverse order is to be passed then a reasoned order be passed by the said respondent and be conveyed to the petitioner.
The present writ petition is disposed off with the aforesaid directions.
