The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release payment with respect to work carried out by it for the respondent along with interest.

Learned State counsel submits that competent authority would consider petitioner's claim and if any admitted liability is found, it would be discharged in due course.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 12% per annum.

The petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents to release payment to the petitioner towards admitted liability within 5 months from today. If payment is not released within aforesaid period, the respondent would be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum from the expiry MOHIT KUMAR 2026.05.29 17:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.
